SituationIn 2002, a leading software house was contracted to develop and integrate a pan European fleet management service utilising Internet, wireless Internet and mobile location based technologies.
As a high volume 24*7 service with a sophisticated architecture, it was felt that a partner who could provide carrier class Internet connectivity and managed services was required to design, operate and manage the total solution.

Solution workSpecialist security consultancy was provided to ensure the successful implementation of a strong and manageable IT security policy across many disparate servers and locations.
In order to ensure high levels of service availability Verideon worked closely with the client to highlight and
develop a range of bespoke application monitoring agents, which facilitate monitoring deep into the application layer.
Assistance was also provided in specifying and ordering the correct hardware and software required for the production environment.
As with all customers Verideon built a replica 'staging' environment to ensure that the application was stable before introduction into service.
As part of our end-to-end solution offering we installed, configured and commissioned the entire production solution, including hardware, network, security, operating system, middleware and application software into our data centre environment.
We enabled the solution within our
24*7 managed service programme, connecting our advanced monitoring system including the bespoke application monitoring components and performed and full systems and operations test prior to switching the system to 'live'.
